PRELIMINARY STORM REPORTS

LARGE HAIL DAMAGING WINDS FLASH FLOODS TORNADOES

Welcome to our revised severe weather reports page! On this page, we will list any severe local storm report as received by our Storm Center staff from a variety of sources, including emergency management officials, law enforcement, trained storm spotters, and public. Many people these days take any damage caused by mother nature's wrath very seriously because of insurance and other related costs to re-build again. This can be very expensive, and some cannot afford to re-build. It is for these and other reasons, we provide this information. Any reports of severe weather we receive from around the state and local area is plotted and shown here. Reports from other locations is not documented, but is available online from the National Weather Service websites. You must bear in mind while reviewing the reports on this page, that all data is unofficial, and should not be construed as final. We have color coded the reports to make it easier to identify as to type of report and process.
NOTE: In the hail size section of the table (text data page), we've used the letter "E" in front of the specified size to indicate the report is either estimated size. An "M" in front of the size indicates it was measured. Also, only large hail will be color coded based on the new criterion for severe hail size of 1.00". In the wind speed section of the table, an "E" in front of the report indicates the gust was estimated, while an "M" indicates it was measured.
