OUR STORM CENTER IS FORECASTING THE DEVELOPMENT OF A WIDESPREAD SIGNIFICANT SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
DAMAGING WIND EVENT...ALSO KNOWN AS A DERECHO...FOR PARTS OF OUR COVERAGE REGION.

PORTIONS OF CENTRAL AND EAST-CENTRAL MINNESOTA.
PARTS OF NORTHERN AND CENTRAL WISCONSIN.
A PORTION OF WESTERN LAKE MICHIGAN.
* Timing of development...
Storms should begin developing by or just after 3:00pm and spread eastward. Rapid storm development is likely.
* Event Summary...
A regional outbreak of severe thunderstorms with the possibility of strong to violent tornadoes and widespread
significant wind damage is expected from central Minnesota across northern Wisconsin during the mid to late
afternoon into tonight. Anyone living in the moderate risk area is strongly advised to review your basic severe
weather safety information, and be alert for signs of rapidly changing weather conditions.
THIS IS A PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION!
SIGNIFICANT WIDESPREAD DAMAGING WINDS ASSOCIATED WITH SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN PRODUCE SWATHS
OF WIDESPREAD DESTRUCTION...WITH WIND SPEEDS OFTEN IN EXCESS OF 85 MPH. WHILE SOME LARGE HAIL MAY
ALSO OCCUR...THE PRIMARY CONCERN IS THE LIKELIHOOD OF VERY DESTRUCTIVE DAMAGING WINDS. IF YOU LIVE IN
